Lead up to ROM

August 7, 2006

We went to francis’ again today to discuss details of our ROM; we’re having our ROM reception at his boutique (or atelier, as he never fails to correct me). Francis is really helpful, he’s doing Janis’ gowns, taking care of hair and make-up, flowers, catering AND letting us use his place for the ROM – that makes my job really easy (but tough on wallet). Hmm, apparently Janis lost some weight, the gowns look a little limpy.

Met up with the caterer – we’re asking for desserts to be fruits and choc fondue. Plus mooncakes, since the recep will be on the 15 day of the 8th lunar month, i.e Mooncake festival. haha.

We didn’t even want to cater dinner at first, thinking we can get away with dessert buffet – at 8pm. But feedback came that 8pm was a tad too late, and rather awkward for guests…so yeah, we went ahead and planned for dinner anyway. There goes my ‘art gallery opening night’ concept for our ROM.

Posting some photos from our melbourne trip, where yours truly walked around with a ring strapped around my waist (thanks keith for the moneypouch) for SIX days, before finding an opportune time to propose (hence i look fat in some of the earlier pics)

Twelve Apostles (ok there are only six left…the rest probably got bored of standing around and left.)
